Automatic Dispenser: How it works
These are relatively simple devices, usually battery operated and equipped with a proximity sensor and a motor that delivers a predetermined detergent quantity. It is available for tables and walls of various designs and qualities suitable for domestic use or intensive use by the community.
The technology is infrared. It is thanks to the infrared rays that you can avoid touching the dispenser. Bringing your hands under the sensor will detect a temperature difference compared to the initial one and activate the dispenser.
So just the simple gesture of putting your hands under the sensor to get the soap. The right distance to activate the device varies according to the model but is usually 2 – 2.5 inches: from the moment the sensor is activated. The soap will be dispensed after about 0.2 – 0.5 seconds.
It is important to note that the soap is dosed at each dispensing to limit its waste: the dispensers are often equipped with adjustment of the quantity of liquid to be dispensed and the dispensing speed. Furthermore, once dispensing is complete, the valve closes to avoid unnecessary dripping or dispersion of soap.

The automatic dispenser is useful in several respects: that of hygiene in the first place since it will prevent everyone from touching the device, always at the same point. Coronavirus, with strict hygiene rules, can be an extra weapon together with disposable masks and gloves.

Wall or countertop?
The first choice must be linked to the place where it will be placed. A wall model is clearly preferable to be fixed with screws and plugs in the bathrooms, while in a company reception, a table model will probably be more practical.
If you do not want to use the drill, choose a table model, even in the bathroom. You will always have a burden linked to moving it to the possibility of falling, to the fact that it can get dirty by moving it.
If you use a floor lamp, check if it requires a screw mounting, a wall model, or a support surface. In truth, the floor lamps are never very stable, so a model to screw tightly would be preferable even in this case.
Foam or soap?
Many models dispense pure soap; others create a mixture with water and dispense a soft foam. Which one to prefer? From a functional and technical point of view, it is indifferent.
The foam contains less soap and is more suitable for intensive use and more pleasant, so we would be to recommend it for use in public places. For home, or in all situations where more soap is needed, a direct dispenser is better.
If you use gel, you will never have foam. All dispensers that dispense foam can dispense gel. Do not add water.
Power on and off
Check that the dispenser has a standby system or a low consumption system to keep it always on and possibly turn it off only for long periods of inactivity (for example, in the company on weekends).
