If you want to go out and buy a new perfume, don’t wear any fragrance on your skin! The risk is to confuse them without you noticing, and the result: a very far away fragrance to the one you were looking for.
The first step to fully appreciate the potential of the new bottle you are about to buy is to vaporize it on absorbent paper. If the perfume you have vaporized on absorbent paper thinks it may be the right one, sprinkle a little on the skin. Their chemistry is different !!
If you’re still not convinced of the fragrance, convince the seller to give you a free sample. Take it home and wear the fragrance for a few days. This way, you can verify your interest. To choose the right perfume, remember not to go shopping if you’re hungry. Your decision will be affected by hunger pangs, and you will not be able to properly appreciate the notes of the fragrance.
If you are not very familiar with perfumes, let the perfumery sales manager advise you. Explain what you are looking for and, which notes you prefer. It will give you useful information about your choice. There are so many perfumes on the market.
You can’t expect to try them all because, after the first 4, the nostrils become saturated! Enter the perfumery with a precise idea. Try to understand, for example, if you prefer floral, fruity, spicy or woody notes.
Some perfumes are related to the seasons. For summer, for example, fresh and light fragrances are indicated, just like the season, while during winter, darker and persistent notes are recommended.
